Sedimentation basin overflow weir. A plate with V-notches along the top
to assure a uniform flow rate and avoid short-circuiting.
Launders : Shortened name for laundering
weir.

Level 1 alarm: A low level alert indicating a process change which does not require any manual intervention, only acknowledgment.
Level 2 alarm: An intermediate
level alarm usually indicating that some operator response is required
- it must be acknowledged.
